Where the Streets Have No Name

North of TriBeCa, west of SoHo, south of the West Village, and situated on the east bank of the Hudson River lies the land of HuHu. Some have mistakenly referred to this region as “Hudson Corner,” but the indigenous people who live and work in HuHu know that it has many corners. In fact, the defining geographic characteristic of HuHu is not some central gathering place or crossroads–or corner–but that it lies between the parallels of Hudson Street and the Hudson River. Thus, the name.
